Swift-Lite Charcoal Discs (40mm)
Swift-Lite Charcoal Discs are 40mm quick-lighting charcoal tablets made to burn resin incense, loose herbs, and palo santo shavings. Each disc lights fast along its treated edge and burns hot and steady, making it the standard fuel source for resin and loose-incense rituals rather than a stick or cone incense.

About charcoal discs
Charcoal discs are the fuel, not the fragrance — they're designed to hold a steady ember so you can burn resin, dried herbs, or palo santo on top, rather than an incense stick or cone that's pre-scented on its own.
How to light and use it
Hold the disc with metal tongs and light the edge until it sparks and begins to glow across the surface — this can take a minute. Set it in a heatproof burner filled with sand or ash, then add a small amount of resin or loose herb on top once it's fully glowing.
Care & safety
The disc becomes extremely hot during use — always move it with tongs, never bare fingers, and set it only in a proper heatproof burner in a well-ventilated room, away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Never leave it burning unattended.
Frequently asked questions
What are Swift-Lite charcoal discs used for?
These 40mm quick-lighting charcoal discs are made to burn resin incense, loose herbs, palo santo shavings, and other traditional loose-incense blends — they are not meant to be burned alone.
How do I light a charcoal disc?
Hold the disc with tongs, light the edge until it sparks and begins to glow, then set it in a heatproof burner filled with sand or ash. Once it glows fully across the surface, add a small amount of resin or herb on top.
How long does a disc burn?
A 40mm charcoal disc typically stays lit and hot for around 45 minutes to an hour, gradually turning to ash.
Is it safe to touch the disc while lit?
No. The disc becomes extremely hot during use. Always light and move it with metal tongs, never bare fingers, and set it only on a heatproof surface or burner.
What holder do I need?
Use a heatproof burner designed for charcoal — sand-filled dishes, cauldrons, or hanging aluminum burners all work well and protect surfaces from heat.
What pairs well with charcoal discs?
Loose resin incense, dried herbs like ruda or eucalyptus, and a heatproof burner such as our aluminum hanging incense burner.
